The Iceberg problem

The weight problem is the tip of the iceberg, it is the part that is visible to you and to the world. But it's the part below the surface that's really scary. The one that must be discovered, analyzed, faced and elaborated.

One of the most common but at the same time less known problems is "Dysmorphy".

Dysmorphy is a psychological condition, which leads an individual to obsess over what he believes are imperfections of his body and to worry about them more than necessary, hiding or modifying them in all possible ways, often ending up in increasingly serious eating and physical disorders such as anorexia and bulimia.

But if you are thinking of starting a weight loss path it means that somewhere inside you a spark has ignited, and to make it bigger and help you on this path you have to pamper yourself more, you have to put yourself in the first place.

Take more time for yourself, take long hot baths, try a new haircut, get that color you've always wanted but never dared to try and get comfortable going to break the routine that has brought you how far you've come.

When you have done this and you have fueled your spark you will have a fire inside that will push you to melt the iceberg that up to that moment has held you back and weighed down.

Here are some tips to do this:


1) Tell your story .

When did you start gaining weight? What made you start eating badly?

2) Put yourself in front of a mirror, study your body objectively .

What are the parts that don't value you? Which ones make you feel beautiful?

3) Drive away all people who do not have a beneficial effect on your psyche .

As ready, energetic and hopeful as you are, to start a weight loss journey, you need to get help. You can find this help by relying on a diet coach or by surrounding yourself with friends or relatives ready to support you.

This is very important, because, with the first adversities present, the risk of losing hope and the strength to fight for change is high, as is the consequent possibility of falling back into old habits.

Don't accept criticism, if someone tells you you can't do it, look them in the eye and tell them that you will, because you believe in yourself and you believe in your strength.

Only then can you set off on your journey back to your ideal weight.
